Inference Supply Company is a one-person operation based in Durham, North Carolina, founded by Taylor Gibson.

Taylor has spent two decades teaching mathematics and statistics, and has developed interdisciplinary coursework spanning math, computer science, data science, and cryptography. He's also been involved in data science education outreach efforts across North Carolina.

Inference Supply Company grew out of a simple observation from years in the classroom: simulation changes how students think about statistics. When students move past memorizing facts about theoretical distributions and start building sampling distributions with their own hands, something clicks. They develop a genuine, intuitive understanding of variability, randomness, and inference — not because they were told how it works, but because they felt it happen.
