Beads

We'd love to offer beads alongside our paddles, but after exploring every option, we simply couldn't price them competitively enough to make it worthwhile for you or for us. The good news is that the beads we recommend are inexpensive and readily available online.

For the best results with your Paddles, look for 6mm double-polished beads weighing 0.12 grams each. We recommend picking up at least two colors so you can build sampling bins with custom proportions. Here are the exact products we use and recommend:

• Translucent Red — 5,000 count. Bright and easy to spot in the paddle, making quick counts a breeze.
• Dark Camo — 10,000 count. Provides strong contrast against the red for clear visual separation.
• White — 5,000 count. A great option if you want the beads to match the paddle background, or just want a third color for more complex sampling designs. 

Any combination of these will work beautifully with your paddles. We recommend purchasing enough to fill at least two bins (bins not included) so you can set up activities with different population proportions.
